This study will help you to...

  • Hear Luke’s Gospel with better understanding as it is read at Mass each Sunday of 2022

Commentary by Rev. Michael F. Patella, OSB

Over five months, we will read through, pray with and discuss the Gospel According to Luke. To aid us in our study, we will also read a commentary by Rev. Michael F. Patella, OSB (provided at no cost). Michael F. Patella, OSB, SSD, is associate professor of New Testament at the School of Theology Seminary, and the College of Saint Benedict/Saint John's University in Collegeville, Minnesota.

Our best “commentaries,” however, are what each of us will “learn” when the Spirit opens our hearts as we prayerfully read Luke and share our insights with each other.

The discussions of the Gospel passages will correspond to the Church’s celebration of Advent, Christmas, Lent, Holy Week, and Easter. For more information on each week's study, download the bible study outline below.
